Meet Majale Mashauri Limbu And Elizabeth Malelemba from Kijeleshi Secondary School, who are developing their project: "Free Smoke Wooden Stove for Better Health of People in Rulal Area.".
The investigation focuses on a wooden stove with a barrel designed to improve health in rural areas by removing smoke from kitchens. The stove, made of soil, features a fixed iron pipe (barrel) to channel soot outside, is approximately 100 cm long with a 3 cm diameter, and has three 5 cm openings for inserting firewood as fuel. Its affordable cost makes it accessible to many in rural areas. This smoke-free stove helps protect users from diseases related to smoke and soot, such as lung and heart diseases.
By combining scientific investigation with practical problem-solving, these students are demonstrating how innovative research can contribute to community well-being and sustainable development.
