Wama Sharaf Secondary school -Lindi

Meet Faraja Amiri & Jamila Ahmad from Wama Sharaf Secondary School, who are developing their project: "A Local Herbal Approach to Manage Bedwetting Using Avocado Seeds".

Their study investigates the potential of avocado seeds as a local herbal remedy for managing nocturnal enuresis, commonly known as bedwetting. By processing avocado seeds into a prepared herbal drink administered twice daily for one week, the students explored its possible effectiveness in reducing bedwetting symptoms. The findings suggest potential supportive benefits and highlight the importance of indigenous knowledge in developing simple, affordable, and accessible health solutions for communities, particularly in low-resource settings.

By combining scientific investigation with practical problem-solving, these students are demonstrating how innovative research can contribute to community well-being and sustainable development.

We are proud to see young scientists using science to create positive change in their communities!
