The launch of Young Scientists Tanzania

Young Scientists Tanzania was launched officially by Hon. Prof. Makame Mbarawa, Minister for Communication, Science and Technology at Mnazi Mmoja on 8th November 2011. The launch was a great succes and four schools prsented their projects to the invited guests and minister. Kenton High School presented a very interesting Project on “Sexuality and attitudes hmong young people”. Kiromo showed their Project on “Desalination-Water is life”. Bethsaida presented their Project “ Are we Carbon Neutral?”.Oyster Bay Secondary School presented, “Are Traffic Jams Necessary?” Guests were were very impressed with the knowledge and confidence of the students, as they presented their research. H.E. Lorcan Fullam, Ireland’s Ambassador to Tanzania noted “ I am very impressed by the Standard of the research andi t is great to see that over 70% of the Young Scientists showing their projects today are female. I wish YST all the very best”
